Volunteers

 

Volunteers are one of the Sanctuary's greatest assets.  Over 200 men and women give their time and talent to help each activity at the Sanctuary.  There are many ways in which you can help as a Volunteer.

Sanctuary:   Outdoor help to keep the hiking trails clear of fallen branches.  Data entry to manage our membership databases.   Periodic help with folding letters and stuffing envelopes for mailings.   As-needed basis.

Glass Museum:   Docents for the museum.  Reception desk staff to collect admissions, answer telephone and greet visitors.  3 hours per day, morning or afternoon, one day each week, Wednesday through Saturday 10-1 or 1-4 and Sunday 1-4.

Museum Shop:  Assist with retail sales in the shop.  3 hours per day, morning or afternoon, one day each week, Wednesday through Saturday 10-1 or 1-4 and Sunday 1-4.

Music Festival:  Periodic help with folding letters and stuffing envelopes for mailings on an as-needed basis.  Pre-season concert assistance in soliciting program booklet advertisements, concert sponsorships, contributors.  Pre-season receptionist to answer telephone inquiries.  Clerical work such as processing contributions, ticket orders and requests for festival information.  Concert day parking assistants.   Concert day ticket sellers.  Concert day ticket collectors.  Concert day Courtesy Table receptionists.  Concert day stage setup assistants.  Concert day stage breakdown assistants.

Research Center:  Cataloging of books, papers and research material.  Research projects.

Special Events:  Volunteer help is needed throughout the year for special projects.   Please contact the Sanctuary office for additional information.
