Peerless in their skillful interpretation of the G&S canon, this group of professional actors and musicians have delighted audiences since 1974.  Under the dynamic leadership of Artistic Director Albert Bergeret, NYGASP has created its own special niche, blending a contemporary vitality with a traditional respect for this specialized repertory.

  Preservation Hall Jazz Band
The world-famous musicians perform time-honored traditional jazz standards guaranteed to set feet tapping.  Whether performing at Carnegie Hall or White Mills, this music embodies a joyful, timeless spirit.  Under the auspices of current director Ben Jaffe, the band continues with a deep reverence and consciousness of its greatest attributes in the modern day as a venue, band and record label.  A special ticket is required for this performance.

  Wildflower Introduces Elan Royster & Laura Frey
The Wildflower Steppingstones Young Artist Concert
In partnership with Marywood University, Scranton, Wildflower present the second annual Steppingstones Concert to honor the memory of former artistic director Jane Zwillinger Ables.  The concert features Elan Royster, soprano, a senior at Marywood, and Laura Frey, pianist and recent Marywood graduate.

A young, dynamic trio of classically trained musicians with amazing grace and talent, whose performance blends bluegrass, classical, jazz and original compositions from Brahms to the Beatles.  Be prepared for a sound that is distinctly American and electrifying.

One of the most established Brazilian music ensembles in the United States today, this duo's multiple talents as vocalists, instrumentalist and composer blend for a warm and engaging performance.  Their infectious repertoire includes bossa nova, samba, classical and original works.

  Rachel Price
At the age of 20, this jazz singer has already proven she is something special.  She has gone from semi-finalist at the Montreux International Jazz Vocal Competition in France to audience and critical acclaim as she astounds audiences with a repertoire ranging from great American Jazz standards to recent compositions.

  Lonesome River Band
One of the most popular and influential acts on the bluegrass circuit since 1991, this band fuses tight vocal harmonies with virtuosic musicianship.  Although rooted in the traditional sounds of Flatt & Scruggs and Bill Monroe, LRB continues to set standards of their own and were awarded the SPBGMA Vocal Group Honor of 1997.

Wildflower Music Festival - Audience ViewThe Wildflower Music Festival is an outdoor event.  Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket.  In the even of inclement weather, performances are held at the air-conditioned auditorium of the Wallenpaupack Area High School, Hawley, PA.  If in doubt on the day of performance, call 570-253-5500.

Saturday performances are at 6:00 PM; Sunday performances at 4:00 PM.  Seating area opens at approximately 5:00 PM on Saturdays and 3:00 PM on Sundays on a first-come basis. 

Programs are subject to change without notice.  Tickets can be purchased by telephone, by mail or in person.

Picnic Information

You are welcome to bring a picnic and beverage to enjoy before or during the concert when held outdoors.  Picnics are available from The Settlers Inn at Bingham Park in Hawley by calling (570) 226-2993, and from Jill's Kitchen, 78 Kirk Road, Narrowsburg, NY; (845) 252-3043.  Light beverages will be offered for sale on the Sanctuary grounds.

In the event the concert must be moved indoors due to inclement weather, please note that no food is allowed in the Wallenpaupack Area High School.

 

Directions

The village of White Mills lies halfway between Hawley and Honesdale on Route 6.   At the blinking light adjacent to the White Mills Hotel in White Mills, turn and go up the steep hill (Elizabeth Street) for 6/10 of a mile to the stop sign at a second blinking light.  Continue on for 1/10 of a mile to the entrance of the Sanctuary on your right.
